The Next Renaissance: AI and the Expansion of Human Potential
Technical Editor and Content Head
I collaborated with Zack Kass across research, writing, and editorial development on The Next Renaissance: AI and the Expansion of Human Potential, shaping the book’s core narrative, structure, and voice. I helped translate Kass’s novel ideas, like unmetered intelligence and the intellectual K-curve, and complex industry concepts, including agentic systems, alignment and safety, and the transformer architecture, into a clear, compelling narrative.
The process involved synthesizing cutting-edge developments in AI with historical context and forward-looking insight, while maintaining a grounded and optimistic perspective. The result is a narrative that helps explain how we got here, what is coming, and how to find a place alongside AI today, and in the future. The Next Renaissance is written for the AI aware and uninitiated alike, and shows how AI will reshape industries, institutions, and individual agency.
This is the first book from Zack Kass, AI advisor and former Head of Go-to-Market at OpenAI. Kass played a key role in commercializing AI and large language models, channeling OpenAI’s innovative research into tangible business solutions, and currently advises executives deploying AI across industries. I similarly supported Zack Kass with his content strategy in the lead up to the book launch including research papers, Medium content, content strategy, and communications.
